How to copy the value of a field to another field?

Sorry for polluting the forum with my questions. But I am really excited of beets and would like to make it my default tool for tagging my music files.

I have comments in some of my files indicating the original date of recording.

They are written in the form YYYY-MM-DD so I could simply copy them to the original_date field if this is possible.

There’s not currently a way to do that, but you might be interested in following this issue: https://github.com/beetbox/beets/issues/488
