Prevent Discogs plugin from overwriting existing genre tags

I am using the Discogs plugin and it is working fine except for one thing - it overwrites my existing genre tags. The genre tags on Discogs are pretty useless for my purpose. How do I prevent Discogs plugin from overwriting the existing tags? I did not see any option to disable the same in the config. Interestingly, the other plugins (e.g., Musicbrainz, Spotify) do not overwrite the genre tags.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Unfortunately, this is not currently configurable—the plugin always reports a genre value, and it’s always applied. It makes sense to make this configurable! Would you be interested in opening a feature request ticket on GitHub?
