Differentiating two artists with same name in directory structure?

I have albums from two different artists, which are both called Marathon:

  • One album (Mark Kelly’s Marathon) from Marathon (led by Mark Kelly)
  • Two albums from Marathon (Dutch Progressive Rock Band).

Problem is, that albums are moved by beets in directory structure under the one and same Marathon, which I don’t like:

user@host:/srv/dev-disk-by-label-data/Music $ ls -al Marathon/
total 52
drwxr-xr-x 5 user group 4096 Aug 6 22:42 .
drwxr-sr-x 877 user group 36864 Aug 6 21:36 ..
drwxr-xr-x 2 user group 4096 Jun 1 20:28 '1994 - The First Run'
drwxr-xr-x 2 user group 4096 Aug 6 22:42 '1996 - Norm'
drwxr-xr-x 2 user group 4096 Nov 20 2021 "2020 - Mark Kelly's Marathon"
user@host:/srv/dev-disk-by-label-data/Music $

Above is expected, as their albumartist tags are the same on both (provided by Musicbrainz).

I’d like to differentiate the the same name artists with beets in some meaningful way in cases like this also in the directory structure, but am unsure how I should do it. Any recommendations? Would be interested to hear how other people are resolving such cases. My config.
