Is there a way to merge an older database with a newer one without losing the metadata I have in the other one? I’d prefer not to have to reimport all of the music in the older db and rebuild the metadata info from scratch if possible.
Don’t just do this without thinking. But afaik the beets database is just sqlite. There are apps that can manage sqlite databases. In theory, you could merge the two databases. Back up both of them and all your files before you do anything. (And I’m not a beets dev so maybe wait for their input.)
