I’m not sure how much access you have for the Discourse install if it’s a Discourse hosted one, but if possible, maybe consider using outsidecontext’s discourse-musicbrainz-onebox plugin for fancyfying MusicBrainz links in discussions:

Oh, cool! This looks nice. AFAICT, you can’t install arbitrary plugins on hosted Discourse instances:
But maybe the thing to do is to request it so that, if the requests reach critical mass, it can be enabled for all users.
