Issues with importing (PermissionError: [Errno 1] Operation not permitted:)

I am using beets for the first time and I have stumbled upon an issue I cannot solve.

When I try importing my library this is the error I get:

I have installed Beets on my Raspberry Pi (link to my config file), meanwhile music library is located on external drive. Does anybody have a clue how to solve this problem?

This error is saying that the permissions plugin couldn’t change the permissions in the way you wanted. It might be that the filesystem is read-only, for instance, or the files are owned by a different user.
