I have a compliation which is annoyingly tagged without an album artist but with individual track artists across 30+ tracks. So I get 30+ folders in my music folder. Is there a way to avoid this fallback?

My realistic answer is probably to manually fix such albums - I don’t think I have too many of them.

This may be a good thing to note in -v or -vv, regardless.

I think the normal way to do this is to mark the album as a compilation and to use a corresponding comp path in your configuration to sort the album accordingly. Maybe give that a shot, or just use beet modify -a albumartist=“Various Artist” some album or similar?
