# Looking up any folder for lyrics?

Hi,  
I’m looking for a way to run the lyrics plugin on a folder without importing beforehand that folder into beets.  
I’ve found [this old lyrics plugin](https://github.com/Lugoues/beets-lyrics) that gave the option to run:  
`beet lyrics foldertoprocess`

But the current one is so great that I want to use it! 😀

I’ve searched a lot but couldn’t find an answer to my question.

Edit: title is very bad, but I’m not an English native and can’t think of a better title…

That’s not currently possible; sorry! You might consider just importing the files, running the lyrics plugin, and then deleting the beets database afterward if you don’t want to keep it.
