# Cleanup tags of files already in library

I have imported (and deleted original files) my whole music collection. I noticed some quirky directory structure due to (I assume) quirky tags. I would like to run the auto-tagging process on them in place. Is this possible? Or do I need to delete the albums from the database and then re-import?  
Also, if I had used the autotagger on import, is beets smart enough to correct & vs and in artist and album names?

EDIT: figured out the retagging.

You basically just need to import the same files again and beets figures it out! Or you can use the -L flag to import based on a query.
